What We Believe
At New Beginnings Church of God, our beliefs are rooted in the authority of Scripture and the historic teachings of the Church of God (Anderson). Everything we do is centered on Jesus Christ and His mission to redeem and transform lives.
1. We Believe the Bible Is God's Word
The Bible is the inspired, authoritative, and trustworthy Word of God. It is our final authority for faith and practice, revealing God's plan of salvation and teaching us how to live as followers of Jesus.
"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." — Psalm 119:105
2. We Believe in One God and One Savior
There is one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose from the dead, and is the only way to salvation.
"For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus." — 1 Timothy 2:5
3. We Believe the Church Is One
We believe Jesus established one Church made up of all who have been born again through faith in Him. Our unity is found in Christ—not in denominational labels—and we are called to love one another as one body.
"There is one body and one Spirit... one Lord, one faith, one baptism." — Ephesians 4:4–5
4. We Believe in a Life of Holiness
God not only forgives sin—He transforms lives. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, every believer is called to grow in Christlikeness, love God wholeheartedly, love others sacrificially, and pursue a life that reflects the character of Jesus.
"Be holy, because I am holy." — 1 Peter 1:15–16
5. We Believe Every Believer Is Called to Make Disciples
Jesus commissioned His Church to make disciples of all nations. We define a disciple as someone who follows Jesus, is being changed by Jesus, and helps others follow Jesus. Every follower of Christ is called to live on mission by sharing the Gospel and helping others grow in their relationship with Him.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations..." — Matthew 28:19–20
These convictions are reflected in our mission:
Love God. Love Others. Make Disciples. Be the Church.
Everything we do flows from these biblical truths as we seek to glorify God and faithfully represent Jesus in our homes, our community, and our world.
